great spot for city strolls and nearby attractions

I really appreciated how this place was just a few steps from the Minocqua Brewing Co, perfect for winding down after a day of exploration, and it was also easy to reach the Northwoods Wildlife Center, adding a lovely nature touch to our weekend strolls.

the best western was a great spot for our stay. the location is perfect, as it's within walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. the indoor pool and hot tub were a fantastic way to unwind after a long day. the staff was incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome.

The room was a decent size, but the bed felt a bit lumpy, and the sheets didn't fit well, which was annoying. On the plus side, the shower head was nice, even if the drain was clogged, leading to some standing water. Overall, it was clean, but definitely room for improvement.

The location is prime for exploring. We felt right at home here, and the hotel offered free water bottles, so hydration was on point!

However, the pillows were tiny cubes—more like sofa decorations than sleeping aids. My neck’s been filing for a lawsuit ever since!

Just a decent option for exploring town in Minocqua with exceptional value. The lobby area was great to relax in after a long day. Check if your room is pet-friendly if you don’t have pets.

Had an awesome time here with friends! We made this spot our base for exploring the local trails and enjoyed some fantastic ice skating. The hotel was a comfy place to come back to after a day of adventure. Staff were friendly, and the breakfast was solid!

One downside was the musty smell in our room, likely from a leaking mini fridge. It made the stay a little less enjoyable.
